June 2006: Professor in the formation project for the Consortium ITALBIOTEC, for the course Structural analysis of biomolecules by X-ray diffraction techniques The scientific activity of Dr. DAmbrosio regards research topics of great interest, concerning the application of the most modern techniques of X-ray crystallography, for the detailed characterization of the three-dimensional structures of protein and protein complexes. The research activity of Dr. DAmbrosio can be summarized as it follows: -Structural characterization of proteins involved in oxidoreduction mechanisms-Structural characterization of proteins of enzymes from extremophiles-Structural characterization of proteins involved in different human pathologies-Structural characterization of protein-ligand complexes. Dr. DAmbrosio is involved in several national and international research projects, collaborating with a wide range of scientists and institutions (University of Florence, University of Nancy, France; Universit Montpellier II, France).
