Stefania Cavaiola graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 1978. She obtained a permanent position at CNR in 1990. Her research interests include: cardio-vascular diseases, non-invasive diagnostic techniques, vascular ultrasonology, vascularization of murine tumors.

Curriculum vitae
Born in Rome, Italy, March 28, 1952.
Graduated in Medicine and Surgery on April 11, 1978, defending a thesis on " Control of the cardiopathic patient during operational endoscopy. Results and critical considerations."
She qualified for the medical profession on April 18, 1978, and she is a member of the Medical Association of Rome since April 20, 1978.
In 1981 she obtained a CNR "assegnista" contract (350.0.1).
In 1983 she specialized in "Cardiovascular Diseases".
Within her CNR contract, she carried out research both on non-invasive diagnostic techniques, and on the vascularization of murine tumors, for which she had close contacts with the Radiobiology Department of ENEA, at Rome-Casaccia.
She took part in about 120 national and international conferences, with presentations and posters.

She is involved in several medical associations:
member of the Roman Surgical Association, since 1979 co-founder of the Vascular Pathology Association
member of the Italian Surgical Association
member of the Italian Group on Vascular Unltrasonology (GIUV)
member of the Italian Doppler Club
member of the Center for the Fight Against Infarction
She has authored/co-authored more than 150 publications

On September 1, 1990, she obtained a permanent position at CNR, with the title of " 3d-level Technologist".
