The research activities are mainly focused on the design, synthesis and characterization of active biomolecules. The UOS is fully integrated in a larger research cluster that includes the Department of Biological Sciences of the University "Federico II", the Interuniversity Research Centre on Bioactive Peptides (C.I.R.PE.B.), and the consortium on diagnostics and pharmaceuticals DFM scarl.
